Overview

We are a team of experienced researchers conducting a funded study that explores the broad theme of gamification in the development and use of 'Play-to-Earn' apps.

The study investigates how digital entrepreneurs develop Play-to-Earn apps, and how users engage with them. Specifically, we explore the development process of Play-to-Earn apps' gamified mechanics (e.g., achievements and rewards), native NFT and cryptocurrency markets. We further explore how users engage with gamified mechanics to inform their 'play' strategy, and how they assess digital assets to inform their ‘earning’ strategy, and how they interact with other users.
